Wrapping Up Family Dinner
In the month of January we worked on having family dinner together every night. Many of our challengers had already made that a priority in their family life. AMAZING! We were thrilled to see many of you post pictures of your family eating together and hearing your family dinner traditions. It was motivating and inspirational to see families joining together in such a great cause- to strengthen and fortify their family!
At the end of each monthly challenge, our family will post a movie relating to the challenge we’ve been focusing on for the month. To wrap up family dinner we wanted to show you how we used our time at the dinner table. Among all the questions about how our day went and what news we all wanted to share, we focused on eating our vegetables!
We know eating vegetables can be a struggle. With our kids especially, veggies were not the GO-TO. We wanted to change that so we made sure almost every dinner we had for the month had vegetables IN it or WITH it. Surprisingly, our kids were up to the challenge and (almost) every night finished their dinner plate– veggies included.
However, that does NOT mean they didn’t struggle or complain. Our movie will show you just how LONG it took some nights… BUT, with the right kind of motivation and ENCOURAGEMENT from EVERYONE- it was possible.
If your kids are struggling with their veggies, maybe this movie will prove to encourage and motivate them to try a little harder. I mean really, if OUR kids can do it- ANY kid can do it!! 🙂
