Our family is doing a fitness challenge this month.
The kids are really into it and want to start working out more consistently. Chaz and I work out together in our garage gym every morning at 5:30. (Powerlifting is what we love!) The kids usually wake up around 6:30 and come out to our garage gym and join us. Sometimes they will just sit on a bench to watch and cheer us on but most times they start rowing, doing pull ups, push ups, and even grab some light weights.
I love that our family enjoys exercise.
We love pushing ourselves past our limits, challenging each other, and most importantly– we love encouraging each other.
Just the other day I was attempting a new personal record on my deadlift. I surprised myself and beat my last PR by 25 pounds. I was so excited, I ran inside to tell my boys. Their eyes went wide and their mouths hung open. “Holy cow, Mom! You are so strong! I can’t believe you did that!” It felt good knowing they cared and that they were proud of me. They love working out, as much as me, so we have something fun in common that we can share together.
Fitness has already brought our family closer together, so I am excited to see what more it can do for us as a family as we focus in on it even more. Check out this article to read even more about how family fitness can strengthen your family!
The boys were thrilled about our challenge this month and they begged me to teach them how to use our Go Pro to record their workout Saturday morning. Seeing their excitement, and knowing how much better exercise is than watching Saturday morning cartoons, I told them I would teach them right then.
They learned how to use the Go Pro on the computer and have been learning through practice. They also learned how to make a video out of their footage so they can watch themselves over and over again on youtube. Another win for me because I’d rather have them watching home videos on the TV than cartoons 🙂

Honestly, it is pretty dang good, AND RAYCE IS HILARIOUS AS USUAL.
